Under the Health and Safety Act 2015, Businesses must use due diligence in ensuring their work place is safe for employees. 

On the Electrical side, employers should have electrical appliances tested on a regular basis to ensure any appliances that are going faulty can be taken out of service and repaired or replaced.

This also demonstrates to employees that you are a responsible employer taking appropriate steps to ensure their safety.
